Dr. Chao graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Chicago with a Masters in Computer Science in 1992. He received his PhD in Computer Science from  Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Chicago in 1996. He has been an esteemed full professor with Knowledge Systems Institute since 2011 and was appointed Dean of Student Affairs in 2012.
