Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School (KSI) provides an opportunity to bridge the gap between scholarship and professionalism with its applied practicum course.  Under the course title of Applied CIS Practicum (CIS600), KSI offers academic practica within each area of concentration. This practicum course allows students to earn credits while being exposed to real-world scenarios with limited and/or predetermined objectives in either a setting within KSI or outside KSI with an employer (that is subject to the approval of the Director of Research and/or Director of Academic/Student Affairs). It may be part-time or once a week, and, though it is incorporated into the academic term, it may offer remuneration. For international students, approval from the P/DSO is also required. At least one Applied CIS Practicum (CIS600) course must be completed by all students as this is an integral requirement for the degree completion of the program.
